Last summer HITC Sport reported that Leeds were tracking the talented non-league goalkeeper Peter Crook, along with Premier League side Swansea City.

Leeds United scouts continued to watch the Harrogate Town goalie, according to the Harrogate Advertiser. Academy goalkeeper coach Neil Sullivan watched him in action and an offer to take him on trial was rejected by the non-league side.

Leeds were not alone, with the likes of Burnley and Blackpool also interested in the player.

Now Leeds, or any other interested team, have the freedom to take a look at the player this summer as he is moving on.

His contract with the North Yorkshire side ends in the summer and the club have confirmed he will be leaving when that deal expires.

He is leaving the Sulphurites after four years and confirmed he is on his way out, thanking the fans on Twitter:

Leeds are set to release Ross Turnbull in the weeks to come and another goalkeeper would certainly be welcomed at Elland Road.

The talented goalkeeper might have the ability to become a non-league to Football League star and Leeds would be right to take another look at the player this summer.
