Everton are in the midst of an extremely poor run of form.
Speaking live on Sky Sports’ programme Premier League Daily at 10:50 am on December 8th, former Toffees star Peter Beagrie offered his opinion on why Everton have been struggling so much of late.
Ronald Koeman’s men actually began their 2016/17 Premier League campaign in fine fashion, but have since dropped down to eighth in the table, after embarking on a run that has seen them win just one game from their last nine outings.

And Beagrie, who made 144 appearances for Everton over the course of two spells with the club, highlighted the lack of support for Romelu Lukaku as a major reason why his former side are struggling for goals, telling Sky Sports:
“It has been terrible. I know they’ve had injuries, and Bolasie is going to compound that, but there is not enough people to support Lukaku in the goal terms, and even him and Ross Barkley have come in for criticism for their work-rate from the manager. I think the squad is a bit thin on the ground as far as creativity is concerned, that’s the simple fact of the matter.”

The Merseysiders now face a crucial period in the run up to Christmas and the new year, with tough looking fixtures against Arsenal and Liverpool ahead on the horizon, and Koeman will need his players to step up to the plate, and prove their true worth.
Next up for Everton is a trip to Vicarage Road to take on mid-table Watford on Saturday, where nothing other than a victory will suffice.
