Tim Sherwood thinks Everton bringing Idrissa Gueye back to Goodison Park is a ‘very, very good’ move, as he told Sky Sports.
The former Aston Villa boss signed Gueye when he was in the Midlands in 2015 and he shared how he is ‘perfect’ for the Premier League.
Frank Lampard’s side have made a winless start to the new campaign, but after losing such a key player in Richarlison earlier in the summer, slowly but surely, they are starting to bulk up their squad.

At 32, Gueye will provide great experience to this struggling Everton side, as Arsenal tried to make a late move for the PSG player but he is heading back to Merseyside.
Everton could argue that since Gueye left for France, they probably haven’t replaced his non-stop engine in the middle of the park.
Well, that will all soon change when he returns to the club and it’s a move that is being backed by one of his former coaches.
“Very, very good,” said Sherwood. “He was one of many players who came into Aston Villa when I was there.
“A lot of them looked like they needed to settle in. He hit the floor run running. He plays with intensity. Perfect for the Premier League.
“He knows Everton. Wants to play on a regular basis. He will certainly do that and help them get out of trouble.”

CAN LAMPARD REBUILD EVERTON?
Over the years, a lot of money has been spent by Everton, only for the club to go backwards and find itself in a hole.
Unfortunately, managers like Lampard have to deal with that mess and he is doing that by adding in experience, as well as a sprinkle of youth.
The Toffees simply can’t afford these next 12 months to go wrong again because it will put them in a right mess and perhaps in England’s second tier.
Given the quality on show for Everton now, they shouldn’t worry too much about relegation or being near the bottom, but they need to get that first win on the board.
