Owen Hargreaves has said on BT Sport 2 (10:41pm, November 25, 2021) that Ryan Sessegnon is perfect for Antonio Conte at Tottenham Hotspur.
The former Manchester United midfielder made the comments about Sessegnon following Tottenham’s embarrassing defeat to NS Mura last night.
Spurs suffered a shock 2-1 loss to NS Mura away from home in the Europa Conference League on Thursday evening.
Sessegnon, who started at left wing-back, was sent off in the 31st minute for two bookable offences.
Owen Hargreaves’s verdict
Hargreaves said on BT Sport 2 (10:41pm, November 25, 2021): “Such a shame because he has been out for such a long time. He is such a good player, and he could be perfect for Antonio Conte.”
Disappointing from Ryan Sessegnon
Sessegnon has had injury problems in recent years, but we should not forget that he is only 21.
The former Fulham man can play as a left-back or as a left-winger.
And in our view, the youngster could be able to play in Conte’s system…
If he maintains his discipline and does not make the kinds of fouls that saw him sent off against Mura.
No one will be more disappointed in Sessegnon last night than Sessegnon himself.
In our opinion, Conte should give the youngster more chances.
A couple of bad decisions do not make Sessegnon a bad player.
