Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to react after watching Marcel Sabitzer shine for RB Leipzig in their 3-2 win over Manchester United.

The Bundesliga outfit beat Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side to record a place in the Champions League last 16 at the expense of the Red Devils.

Sabitzer – who Bild revealed is a target for Tottenham – was instrumental in the vital win.

It is worth mentioning that his contract expires in 2022, meaning a move could presumably be on the cards if he fails to sign a new deal soon.

The Austria international – valued at €30 million (£27 million) according to Bild‘s report – grabbed an assist, while also delivering an impressive, industrial display.

SofaScore shows that the RB Leipzig captain registered two clearances, two blocks, two interceptions and one tackle, while also being fouled on three occasions.

Sabitzer also completed seven long-range passes from an attempted 12, and had two shots against the Premier League outfit.

Furthermore, he recorded two key passes, and ended the successful night with a passing accuracy of 81%.

His display has impressed some Tottenham fans below. One described the Austrian as a ‘big upgrade’ on Moussa Sissoko.
