Newcastle United forward Callum Wilson has told the Super 6 podcast that he believes Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane would be his ideal partner up-front.
Kane has laid on assists aplenty at Tottenham this season, through his ability to drop deep and link play.
And Wilson feels that he could form a seriously deadly partnership with Kane, if they ever linked up.
“An ideal strike partner would be someone to complement my style of play really. So someone who would drop in short and can see a pass and get assists,” he said.
“Someone like Harry Kane would also chip in with goals and give you competition as well. That would be the percent scenario, I guess.”
Wilson’s comments are very interesting as he was actually linked with a move to Tottenham last summer.
TalkSPORT suggested that Jose Mourinho’s side wanted the £20 million man (Sky), but he ultimately ended up signing for Newcastle United.

Wilson has done well at Newcastle, while Tottenham have ended up bringing in Carlos Vinicius.
It now seems likely that Wilson’s chances of moving to Spurs have passed.
But the transfer could still appeal if Newcastle were to go down, and from Wilson’s words it seems like a move could potentially excite him, if it was to ever come about.
