The Newcastle United attacker has been in impressive form recently.
Ayoze Perez has often been criticised for his lack of goals during his time at Newcastle United but the Spaniard is starting to find the net at a potentially crucial time.
Prior to this month Perez had only scored one goal in all competitions this season, which came in the 2-2 draw away to Southampton in October.
However, Perez has been impressive of late as he scored the winner against Stoke City in the Premier League and then followed that up by hitting a brace in the FA Cup third round success against Luton Town.
Newcastle need as much attacking inspiration as they can possibly get at the moment and Perez certainly seems capable of providing it.
Perez’s link up play is of a high standard but if he can now start to add more goals to his game then he can be a very useful asset for Newcastle in their quest to avoid relegation.
Although Newcastle are in 13th place in the Premier League, they are just two points clear of the relegation zone and there is still much work for Rafael Benitez’s side to do if they are to stay up.
If Perez can make a significant contribution then it could well be crucial in terms of helping Newcastle to stay up.
