Gabriel Jesus has reportedly told Pep Guardiola that he sees his Manchester City future away from striker and out on the wing.
According to the Daily Mail, the Brazilian international has confessed to the Catalan manager that he prefers playing out wide for City rather than as the central striker.
Jesus is the club’s only recognised striker following the departure of City icon Sergio Aguero earlier in the summer. As per the Daily Mail, Harry Kane was Pep Guardiola’s top target, but the attacker will now stay at Tottenham.
With under a week of the transfer window to go, City are running out of time to sign a new striker before the closure of the market. The Premier League champions have made just one signing this summer.
Indeed, the news of Jesus wanting to play out wide as well as Kane confirming he will stay at Spurs this summer is a double blow for City in their hunt for a centre forward.
And on social media, City fans are worried that the club will fall short this season if they fail to sign a new starting attacker this summer.

it is likely that City will seek to sign a new striker before the window shuts. But supporters are worried that Jesus switching positions could be a hindrance to the squad.
