Newcastle United boss Rafael Benitez was a big fan of Pepe during their last time working together at Real Madrid.

Real Madrid defender Pepe has confirmed to the Daily Mirror that he has offers from the Premier League.
Pepe has confirmed that he will be leaving Madrid this summer, after reaching the age of 34.
The experienced Portuguese international is out of contract at Madrid, and will leave in search of a new challenge.

He could certainly get that at Newcastle United, and it may not be too much of a surprise if Rafael Benitez’s side did make a move for the powerful defender.
Benitez has worked with Pepe before, during his time at Madrid, and if the centre-back does has offers from England, Newcastle looks like one of his most likely potential destinations.
Pepe said: “It is clear that I will not continue at Real Madrid
“One stage is over and, from now on, another one will start.
“There are more offers, also from England.”

Pepe was expected to join PSG, but his latest comments could throw some doubt over that move.
Pepe may be reaching the twilight of his career, but Benitez has proven before that he is not afraid to buy experienced players.
Newcastle are known to be on the hunt for a centre-back this summer, as they look to compete back in the Premier League.
And if the Magpies could bring Pepe to St. James’ Park it would be a statement of their intent ahead of the new season.
