Tottenham Hotspur’s place inside the Champions League spots is far from guaranteed.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola addressed the media after his side’s 1-0 win over Tottenham at the Etihad today, and responded when asked whether he believes Mauricio Pochettino’s men will finish inside the top four, as quoted by Football.London.
Spurs will feel aggrieved to have lost today’s game against City, and had it been for more clinical finishing, they could have easily returned to north London with all three points safely tucked away.
Tottenham currently sit in third spot in the Premier League table, one point clear of fourth placed Arsenal and fifth placed Chelsea, although they have played a game more than the Gunners.
Pochettino will be desperate to guide his Spurs side to a fourth consecutive top four finish this season, and Guardiola responded when asked by reporters whether he believes that will happen, as quoted by Football.London:

“Tottenham will finish in the top four with the games they have. It will happen.”
Next up for Tottenham is a home game against Brighton on Tuesday night, before they play host to West Ham four days later, and they will undoubtedly be targeting six points from those outings, in the hope of cementing their place inside the top four.
