Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has told the Manchester Evening News that he has a feeling Kevin De Bruyne’s injury is muscular.
City beat Aston Villa 2-0 on Wednesday evening, with Bernardo Silva and Ilkay Gundogan finding the net in another victory for Guardiola and co.
That’s now six league wins in a row and yet another clean sheet, as they begin to look like the favourites for the Premier League title.
However, City did suffer a couple of big blows against Villa, with Kyle Walker and Kevin De Bruyne both suffering injuries.
The pair were both substituted, and whilst Walker’s injury may just be a knock, there are fears that De Bruyne could be missing for a little while.
De Bruyne was taken off after just 59 minutes, with Gabriel Jesus coming on in his place for the final half an hour.

Guardila now has a feeling that De Bruyne’s injury is muscular, which may mean that he needs some time out of the team to rehabilitate.
Guardiola thinks this was inevitable with how many games City have to play, and given that De Bruyne wasn’t likely to face Cheltenham Town this weekend anyway, fans will hope to see him back very soon.
“Kevin put his hand on his leg, so I have the feeling it will be something muscular,” said Guardiola. “These things happen with this amount of games,” he added.
