Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has raved about Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku ahead of the match against Thomas Tuchel’s side at Stamford Bridge today, as quoted in The Guardian.
Chelsea will take on City in London in the Premier League in a few hours’ time.
Lukaku, who returned to Chelsea from Inter Milan in the summer transfer window, is set to start against the Citizens.
City manager Guardiola has spoken highly of the 28-year-old, and believes that he has become a better player since working with Antonio Conte at Inter Milan.
Guardiola told The Guardian: “I’m not going to deny what a player Romelu Lukaku is. At Inter Milan he took another step. Antonio Conte has the ability to improve every single player that works with him and he came back to the champions of Europe.
“How he [Lukaku] plays with long balls, how he is supported by the attacking midfielders and wing-backs and with the quality of players they have in the middle to put the balls between the lines … it is a stronger team than last season but this is the challenge.”

Big threat for Manchester City
Lukaku is a world-class striker who has made Chelsea a more fearsome and potent team in attack.
The Chelsea no.9 has scored three goals in four Premier League appearances so far this season.
The former Manchester United striker has also scored one goal in one Champions League game.

What is interesting about Lukaku now is that he is making the most of the chances he is getting.
And that is a worry for City.
City are a strong team and are defensively solid.
But, like all teams, the Citizens will give chances, and given how Lukaku is so good at taking even half-chances, the former Inter striker could punish them.
