West Ham United’s Declan Rice played against Manchester City on Saturday.

Guardiola made the comments following City’s 4-0 victory over West Ham away from home at the London Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
Rice, who can operate as a central defender or as a defensive midfielder, started the match and played for the entire 90 minutes.
City manager Guardiola was impressed with the performance of the 19-year-old and has spoken highly of him.
Football.London quotes Guardiola as saying: “Declan Rice is an excellent young player and he will be a top English player for many years to come.”

New contract for Declan Rice?
Rice is out of contract at West Ham at the end of the season, according to Transfermarkt.com, and the teenager has yet to agree on a new deal with the London club.
The youngster is earning £3000 per week as salary at the moment, according to The Times, with West Ham reported to be ready to pay him £21,000 per week.
According to The Express, Rice is holding out for £30,000 per week, and Guardiola’s comments should convince West Ham into paying that much money.
Rice is a hugely talented footballer, and tying down the youngster to a new long-term contract will only enable West Ham to cash in on him in the coming years.
