The Manchester City boss praised the reported Everton and Tottenham Hotspur target this week.

Tottenham Hotspur and Everton affiliates might not have liked Pep Guardiola’s comments on Tanguy Ndombele this week.
The Mirror reported last month that Tottenham have made the Lyon midfielder their ‘primary January target’, while Sport claimed this week that Everton were also keen.
But according to the Spanish outlet, Manchester City are also in the reckoning and Guardiola, whose side drew 2-2 away to Lyon on Tuesday, admitted that the 21-year-old had caught his eye.
The Manchester City manager said, as quoted by The Liverpool Echo: “Lyon are one of the best teams we’ve played against. Aouar is unbelievable and Ndombele is amazingly calm.”
It isn’t hopeful for Spurs and Everton because, well, the Spanish manager has the financial muscle to blow both out of the water if he wanted Ndombele at the Etihad which, going by his comments and the report, isn’t the most unlikely of scenarios.
Even more worryingly, Guardiola has as much reason to go for him as Everton’s Marco Silva or Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino.

Pochettino will need a long-term replacement for Mousa Dembele, while the Toffees might want an upgrade for Morgan Schneiderlin, but the former Barcelona coach has a 33-year-old Fernandinho and Fabian Delph who could probably be improved upon.
He is certainly a fine prospect and time will tell if he winds up in the Premier League.
