Leicester City are one of the sides interested in taking Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney, but they may not be able to get him.

Pep Guardiola may have done Celtic a big favour this summer, as his Manchester City side have walked away from signing Ben Chilwell from Leicester City.

Leicester are one of the sides trying to sign Celtic left-back Tierney, with Brendan Rodgers a big fan of the Scottish international.

However, the Daily Express claim that Leicester need to offload Chilwell if they are to make a bid for Celtic’s Tierney.

That could be good news for Celtic, as there appears to be no suitor for Chilwell at this current moment in time.

Manchester City were interested in the England international, but Sky Sports have suggested that Guardiola has decided against pushing for a deal.

That means that, as things stand, Celtic may not have to fend off Rodgers’ side in the battle to keep Tierney.

Celtic are still far from certain of keeping Tierney at Parkhead this summer though.

There are other sides from the Premier League and Europe still interested in the left-back, and it could be difficult for Neil Lennon’s men to keep their star player for next season.
