Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has described Leeds United as “tough” in The Manchester Evening News ahead of the match at Elland Road this weekend.

Jesse Marsch’s Leeds will take on Guardiola’s Manchester City at Elland Road in the Premier League on Saturday evening.

Leeds are in real danger of getting relegated to the Championship at the end of the season, while City are a point clear of second-placed Liverpool at the top of the league table at the moment.

Liverpool will take on Newcastle United away from home at St. James’ Park in the Premier League in the lunchtime kickoff.

Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola on Leeds United

Guardiola told The Manchester Evening News: “It’s tougher because Leeds is tough. The crowd, they are fighting for points.

“We need points. We know it. The people feel it. The players trained today with incredible focused I think everybody at the club knows what we’re playing for and what they have to do.”

Big game

In our opinion, Manchester City will head into the match against Leeds as favourites and should be able to win the match with relative ease.

Yes, of course, we know that Leeds have a good team and a strong fan-base, but the team are fighting for survival for a reason.

Now, we know that slip-ups happen, but we do not think that City will drop points given the way they are playing right now.
