You can’t deny the brilliance of this Manchester City side. The champions play some fantastic football. They just paid heavily for it. It’s like winning the Tour de France on a Harley Davidson. Fast but who cares? The people don’t. People don’t care to the extent that Pep Guardiola has had to beg fans to turn up to Man City v Southampton.

Manchester City 6-3 RB Leipzig

Oh, wow! What a shock. Manchester City steam roll another side.

Pep Guardiola’s side ran riot against Leipzig this week.

The Spaniard’s side conceded a hat-trick scored by Christopher Nkunku but his efforts were no match for the oil machine.

Nathan Ake scored the opener but Jack Grealish scored the goal of the game.

The megabucks signing cut inside before curling a pearler of a shot past a helpless keeper.

Pep Guardiola begs for Man City v Southampton attendance

Despite being Premier League champions the Citizens are still struggling to sell out their stadium.

This has led to an embarrassing Pep Guardiola appeal for attendance at the Man City v Southampton game this weekend. Speaking after the win over Leipzig the gaffer said:

“I would like to come more people next game on Saturday, we need the people next Saturday. Please.

“I would like to come more people next game on Saturday, we need the people next Saturday. Please.”

The plea came after Twitter users mocked the lack of fans at a Champions League game.

How? How can you not fill your stadium when you’re playing such good football? It’s all a bit embarrassing.
