Leeds United reportedly want Marcelo Bielsa as their new head coach, and Birmingham City assistant manager Pep Clotet’s comments on the former Athletic Bilbao boss is going to excite the fans and the players at Elland Road.
According to BBC Sport, Leeds have held talks with Bielsa regarding the vacancy head coach’s role at Elalnd Road.
Clotet, who worked as an assistant head coach at Leeds during the 2016-17 campaign when Garry Monk was in charge of the Whites, studied Bielsa’s methods during the Argentinian’s time at Spanish club Espanyol, as reported by Sky Sports.
According to The Daily Mail, the 41-year-old also observed Bielsa train the Argentine players during his time as the head coach of the South American side.
“He has a method based on the continuous improvement of his players,” Clotet told Sky Sports about Bielsa.
“They are asked to experiment and learn new actions and new details. At the end of it, he is always looking for perfection both individually and collectively.”
