Leeds United have far exceeded expectations so far this season.

Whites assistant manager Pep Clotet spoke to the club’s official Twitter account for an exclusive interview and raved about the defensive performances from his side of late, highlighting the hard work that has gone in behind the scenes that has helped them form such a tight unit at the back.
Garry Monk’s men are currently sitting in fourth position in the Championship table, and with an eight point lead over seventh placed Fulham, they will surely be very confident of securing their place amongst the play-off spots come May.
They have far exceeded expectations so far this term, and that has to be put down to how well they have defended as a group.
And Clotet shared how the chemistry between the players in Leeds’ backline is no coincidence, what with the amount of work that goes into defending during training, when speaking to the club’s official Twitter account:

“They all have a very good collective mind when it comes to defend. We have become very solid because they are working very hard with a lot of intelligence, and it is very difficult for the opposition to find any spaces through us. We hope it is going to be like that until the end.”
Next up for the West Yorkshire outfit is back-to-back away trips in the league against Birmingham City on Friday and Fulham the following Tuesday.
And six points from those two outings would go a long way to securing their place inside the play-off spots.
