Leeds United assistant manager Pep Clotet has taken to Twitter to send a message to fans ahead of Friday’s trip to take on Newcastle United.
The Whites beat Preston North End 3-0 on Saturday afternoon to bounce back after successive defeats to Reading and Brentford, with goals from Kemar Roofe, Pablo Hernandez and Souleymane Doukara sealing a comfortable win.
Leeds’ play-off place is close to being guaranteed now, but with five games to go, Garry Monk still has work to do – and that continues with Friday’s trip to Newcastle.
The Magpies are on the verge of automatic promotion to the Premier League, and can move one step closer with a win over Leeds in one of the heavyweight clashes of the season.
Arguably the two biggest clubs in England outside of the Premier League, Leeds and Newcastle have met once already this season, with the Magpies claiming a 2-0 win at Elland Road back in November.
Newcastle will be hoping for a similar result on Friday, but their home form has been a little patchy of late, and Leeds will be looking to take full advantage of that with a win.

Ahead of that game, Leeds assistant Pep Clotet has taken to Twitter to send a message to fans, stating that he is preparing ‘every detail’ for the trip to St. James’ Park.
The Spaniard added that heading to Newcastle is a ‘pretty tough away trip’, and called on the Leeds players to be prepared for such a huge game.
