Leeds United’s Kemar Roofe has a fan in Pep Clotet, it would seem.
Former Leeds United assistant Pep Clotet has told The Oxford Mail that Kemar Roofe will be a better player for the Whites next season.
There will be a couple of reunions on Saturday when Oxford United take on the Championship side at Elland Road.
Clotet, who left Leeds to become Oxford manager this summer, brings his side to Yorkshire for a last pre-season friendly before both teams’ domestic campaign begins.

And the contest will also see Roofe come up against his former side, after the 24-year-old left the O’s to join Leeds in a £3 million deal following a 26-goal season.
The attacker found himself largely on the wing under Monk last season, scoring three times in 42 Championship appearances.
Nevertheless, Clotet believes the West Bromwich Albion graduate will kick on at the Elland Road club next term.
“I have a very good relationship with Kemar. We worked together for a year at Leeds,” he said to The Oxford Mail.
“He was a fantastic player for us and he will be a better player next season because he’s had the experience. I spoke to him a lot during the season about Oxford because I was interested in where the players came from.
“From those conversations I had an impression of what Oxford was like.”
