Harry Kane told Soccer Saturday on Sky Sports (07/11/20 at 1:35 pm) that Gareth Bale and Joe Hart are the ‘people you need’ in and around the club because they are proven ‘winners’.
At both Real Madrid and Manchester City, both players have endured trophy-laden careers, with the Welshman being the more successful in Spain.
Added with the above players, Spurs have a certain Jose Mourinho in their dugout and a coach who can mastermind his way to any trophy in world football, as he has proven throughout his career.
Nonetheless, Kane labelled his new Spurs teammates – Bale and Hart – as players who are ‘definitely a bonus’ for the North London side.
On winners such as Bale and Mourinho being the missing ingredient for Spurs: “You could say so,” said Kane. “People like Gareth and even Harty in the squad.
“Players who have won the biggest trophies. They have been around winning teams. They are the people you need. Not just what they do on the pitch but what they do outside of the pitch. In the changing room and keeping everyone focused.
“They are definitely a bonus to have. It was great for Gareth to get his goal at the weekend because it will give him more confidence. He’s delighted to be back and feeling the love from everyone. But I am sure we will see an even better Gareth to come.”

The problem Spurs face is that players, such as Kane and Heung-Min Son, are at an age where they will want to add trophies to their cabinet.
And the fear amongst the Spurs fans will be if they cannot cross that line under Mourinho then they may find losing the services of their star players.
But if they can achieve success and a trophy this season then the pathway would have really started for the club to properly push on.
