Tottenham Hotspur attacker Richarlison is appreciated more in Brazil than even Neymar at the moment.
Well, that’s what former Spurs goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes has revealed to Stadium Astro.
Richarlison has been one of the stars of this World Cup after netting twice – including possibly the goal of the tournament – against Serbia in Brazil’s opening group game.
This is someone who Tottenham spent £60 million on this past summer, dropping a record fee in bringing him to North London from Everton.
And Gomes has revealed that people in his homeland value him more than they do even Neymar.

Gomes told Stadium Astro : “People love him in Brazil. They are putting him now ahead of Neymar to be honest.”
Neymar, a £200 million signing by Paris Saint-Germain [talkSPORT], hasn’t played in the Selecao’s last two group games due to injury.
But according to The Athletic, he may well return in time for Monday’s round-of-16 encounter against South Korea.
If Brazil go far in the competition, the Tottenham forward will have played a massive role in that, though.
Yes, sometimes he goes a little quiet in games, but he’s always only ever an instant away from a moment of magic and ultimately that’s a characteristic that Brazil boss Tite will be relying on in the latter stages now.
