West Ham United’s left-back picked up a hamstring injury against Newcastle.

West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini addressed the media today, ahead of his side’s clash with Cardiff City tomorrow night, and shared the news that Aaron Cresswell could miss the match with a hamstring injury, as quoted by the club’s official website.
The Hammers earned a valuable three points away at Newcastle United on Saturday, but there was one downside for Pellegrini – Cresswell leaving the pitch after 56 minutes.
His replacement – Arthur Masuaku, has been criticised this season for his lack of defensive nouse, and losing Cresswell for a sustained period of time could prove to be costly for West Ham.
And it is looking like the Liverpool-born left-back will miss tomorrow’s clash with the Bluebirds.
Pellegrini spoke to reporters during his pre-match press conference today, and stated that he will make a decision as to whether to play Cresswell against Cardiff tomorrow, as quoted by the club’s official website:

“About the injuries, we have the same players. Cresswell has a hamstring injury. We shall see him tomorrow and make the last decision.”
West Ham can climb up to 11th in the Premier League table with a win against Neil Warnock’s men tomorrow, and that would make Pellegrini’s players and the club’s fans a lot more confident heading into the Christmas period.
