Nottingham Forest midfielder’s loan has come to an end.

Monaco midfield Pele says it was ‘an honour’ to have represented Nottingham Forest.

Forest’s season is at an end after the finish of the Championship regular season at the weekend.

Forest finished in ninth place, eight points off the play-offs.

Pele signed in January, arriving on loan until the end of the season.

He sent a message out on Instagram to say his goodbye to the club’s fans.

Pele featured in nine Championship games for Forest, six as a starter.

The midfielder’s last appearance came in the 3-0 win over Middlesbrough on April 22.

He heads back to a different Monaco side to the one he left, with then manager Thierry Henry since fired.
