West Ham United suffered a 2-1 defeat at home to Chelsea, and Pedro Obiang summed up the loss on Twitter.
Chelsea’s Pedro in action with West Ham United’s Pedro Obiang
Pedro Obiang took to Twitter in the wake of West Ham’s defeat to Chelsea on Monday night, and arguably summed up the mood following the loss to the Premier League leaders perfectly.
Slaven Bilic’s men put in a spirited display against the Blues, but were unable to secure a share of the points as goals from Eden Hazard and Diego Costa meant that Manuel Lanzini’s stoppage-time reply was only good enough to halve the deficit at the London Stadium.
But despite the scoreline, it could certainly be argued that the Hammers put up a great fight for large periods of the game, but just simply did not have a finisher in the box who was able to capitalise on the pressure that they often applied.
And they were punished as Chelsea soaked up the pressure and frequently executed brilliant counter attacks, including one which led to Hazard’s opener.

With the midfielder putting in yet another excellent display for the Irons, the fans who responded to Obiang’s message praised the 24-year-old and largely handed the team their support following the defeat.
