Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Pedro Neto has raved about Liverpool fans and Anfield on the club’s official website.
Neto – who made 30 starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League for Wolves last season, scoring five goals and providing six assists in the process – has said that Anfield is the most difficult ground he has played at.
The 21-year-old winger told Wolves’ official website: “For me, it was when we played at Anfield two seasons ago. Their fans are supporting the team for the full 90 minutes, even if they are losing, and make it difficult for the opposition.”

Anfield is one of the best and most legendary stadiums in world football.
Liverpool fans are well known all over the world for how they are always behind the team.
Neto’s comments underline just how many opposition players feel about Liverpool supporters and Anfield.
Liverpool had a disappointing season in 2020-21, and one of the main reasons was the lack of fans.
Of course, other teams missed their fans too, but for Liverpool, it was especially pronounced.
Anfield is really hard for opposition players, especially in the big games.
Hopefully for Liverpool, and the rest of the teams in the Premier League, next season will see fans back in stadiums.
The Euro 2020 finals have been superb to watch due to fans being allowed in stadiums.
Football is not the same without fans inside stadiums.
