Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic reportedly want to sign Omar Elabdellaoui from Olympiacos in the January transfer window.

According to The Scottish Sun, Celtic are interested in securing the services of Elabdellaoui this month.
It has been reported that the Hoops are considering making a £4 million bid for the 27-year-old right-back.
Olympiacos manager Martins, though, has said that he is not going to sell any of his players, meaning that Celtic may miss out on the Norway international, who can also operate as a right-sided midfielder.
Martins told The Scottish Sun: “Many European clubs have been interested in our players. But I have not had a single player who has come to my door asking to leave.
“We are focused on our goals of winning the title again and we won’t risk that by selling any players.
“To achieve our goals this season, we need a quality squad so none of our first team players will be sold this month.”

Tough but not impossible
While one can understand Martins’s stance regarding Elabdellaoui, in football money talks, and Celtic should at least make an offer for the right-back.
Every player has his price, and if the Glasgow giants make a decent offer, then the Greek giants will at least have to consider it.
Celtic do need to sign a right-back, and Elabdellaoui has the experience and quality to be successful in that position for the Glasgow giants.
