The Liverpool midfielder’s contract expires in the summer of 2020.

Liverpool youngster Pedro Chirivella sat down for an exclusive interview with Spanish media outlet AS, and claimed that he rejected a £4 million switch to Rosenborg last summer.
The 21-year-old is currently on loan with Extremadura, having joined the Spanish outfit on a short-term deal on transfer deadline day in January, and he has just over one year remaining on his contract with the Reds.
Chirivella joined Liverpool from Valencia in the summer of 2015, but he has only made five senior appearances for the Merseyside outfit, so it is unclear as to whether he actually has a future at Anfield.
And the 21-year-old told Spanish publication AS how he actually rejected a move from Liverpool to Rosenborg last summer:

“I rejected an offer from Rosenborg, who wanted to sign me for almost 4 million and I told Klopp that I wouldn’t leave.”
With Liverpool’s current strength in the central midfield department, it will be almost impossible for Chirivella to break into the side over the next year or so, and bearing this in mind, it would be no surprise to see him leave Anfield upon the expiry of his contract in the summer of 2020.
