Pedro Chirivella has made just one Premier League appearance for Liverpool since joining Jurgen Klopp’s side from La Liga giants Valencia.

Pedro Chirivella has confirmed that he wants to return to Spain on a permanent basis with his future at Liverpool up in the air, speaking in an interview with AS.
Liverpool looked to have pulled off a real coup when they signed one of Spain’s most exciting young talents five years ago, snapping up the teenage midfielder from La Liga powerhouses Valencia.
But Chirivella has made just one Premier League appearance for The Reds, coming in a 3-1 loss at Swansea City in 2016, and was named by the Liverpool Echo as one of a number of players who will be made available for transfer in the summer.
Speaking to AS, the 21-year-old insists that he doesn’t regret leaving Valencia for Anfield despite the fact that a number of his former youth teammates have now forced their way into the first-team at the Mestalla.
But Chirivella admits that a full-time return to Spain, and possibly Valencia, is on his mind.

“Liverpool know I want to go back to Spain,” said the midfielder, who has spent the season on loan at Segunda outfit Extramadura.
“Playing at Mestalla would be a pleasure. I’m from Valencia.”
Chirivella shone in pre-season for Liverpool, particularly in a 4-0 thrashing of Manchester United, but it would be no surprise if Klopp let him go given the raft of midfield options currently available to The Reds boss.
