Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers were beaten in their last outing against Hibernian.

Pedro Caixinha has told the Herald Scotland that he has recently had to urge his Glasgow Rangers players to calm down in training.

Rangers were beaten 3-2 by Hibernian last weekend, in what was a highly disappointing defeat.

The Ibrox side had begun their domestic campaign well, but a defeat to Hibs has dented their momentum somewhat.

Rangers’ players are now determined to bounce back, but their passion has caused Caixinha some problems in the training ground.

And the Portuguese boss says that he has had to tell his players to reduce their effort levels in training to stop any risks of injuries forming.

Caixinha said: “The players gave me an answer by working hard. I didn’t need anything else.

“They did it that day, the day after, the day after. Today I had to say: ‘Hey boys, calm down, we need to be fresh!’ But the answer will come in the game on Saturday. When something happens that you are not expecting and you lose a game you need to move forward.”

Rangers had started their domestic campaign well before defeat to Hibs, and they will be looking to return to winning ways this weekend.

Caixinha side’s next match comes against Hearts at Ibrox tomorrow, and a victory would help lift spirits around the Light Blues’ camp again.
