The Portugal winger’s work-rate has been exemplary and he deserves credit at Ibrox.

The appointment of Pedro Caixinha as Rangers manager looked to be doomed from the start and, indeed, it was. The Portuguese never quite got what it meant to be Rangers boss, failed to get results on the pitch and made several transfer blunders off of it.
He snapped up plenty of players he knew well from his time in Portugal and Mexico, with only a few living up to expectations.
One player however for whom the jury must be out is winger Daniel Candeias.

The 29-year-old wide-man arrived from Benfica in the summer on a permanent two-year contract. Rangers fans were obviously skeptical of the player, as they were the Portuguese boss and not many gave him much hope.
But he has perhaps been one of Caixinha’s better signings at Ibrox. He has not pulled up any trees and has not been spectacular but Rangers fans must appreciate the way he has conducted himself since arriving in Glasgow.

One thing he has is a good attitude. He helps out going backward immensely with some great work-rate. With that in mind it allows James Tavernier the opportunity to get forward and do what he does best.
Candeias, who has scored five goals in 29 appearances for Rangers is one Caixinha recruit that the club should try and keep at Ibrox this summer.
