Glasgow Rangers consolidated their position in third in the Scottish Premiership as they won 2-0 at Ibrox.
Rangers manager Pedro Caixinha
Rangers boss Pedro Caixinha has told the club’s official website that he did not like the Gers’ display during the first half-hour of their game against Partick at all, and admitted that the away side were probably better during that period.
Goals from Kenny Miller and Jon Toral saw the Light Blues consolidate their position in third in the Scottish Premiership, but the home side did not have everything their own way at Ibrox.
And Caixinha has seemingly suggested that his side were somewhat flattered by the scoreline as he assessed their performance during the opening stages.
“The first 30 minutes I didn’t like it at all,” he told the club’s official website.
“Once again I think the opponent got on the game better than us.

“Of course we did very good things after that. I think the last 15 minutes were more like what we were expecting from ourselves from this game.
“The first 20 minutes of the second half in which we scored we had good chances, good football and we were enthusiastic and connected with the crowd.”
What may please Rangers fans is how brutal Caixinha can be in his assessments of the performances during the early stages of his tenure.

The Gers did not concede during the game, but the Portuguese is not allowing the squad to get at all complacent about how well they are doing as he will know that there is still plenty of work to be done before they look like a team capable of meeting expectations.
But if they continue to make progress at the rate they appear to have done under Caixinha already, then it may not be too long before the Rangers boss is raving about watching a complete performance.
