Pedro Caixinha says Glasgow Rangers need to be more clinical in front of goals.
Rangers boss Pedro Caixinha says his side needs to focus on converting chances into goals in the upcoming season.
The Portuguese boss is happy with the effort Rangers are putting in creating chances, but he says finishing is one area where the team has been struggling and needs to focus on.
Although he admits that it is not a big headache for him at the moment, the Portuguese stressed on the need to “finish the action”.

“The main point we have been struggling with since the beginning of the season is about the definition” said Caixinha, as quoted by The Daily Record.
“I mean we arrived too much on the left side, we create very good chances, but we don’t score, so that’s the point we need to be focused on.
“I know that it’s not a problem. The problem is if you don’t create but even against a team like Marseille you create a lot of situations – and a lot of good situations.
“So that means you are arriving, you know how to build, know how to create, know how to explore. Now, you just need to finish the action and I know that that moment is about to come.
“We don’t need to stress about it, we just need to keep working in the right direction of course because we know the goals will arrive. I’m not worried about that.”
Indeed, goal scoring has been a big problem for Rangers so far despite the addition of so many new attacking players.
The Gers could only score just once against Luxembourg minnows Progres Niederkorn over two legs in the Europa League qualifying first round, which eventually saw them being knocked out of the competition.
Former Rangers player, Alex Rae, has echoed the sentiment of Caixinha, saying that Rangers need to find a way to unlock defenses.
Rangers will start their 2017/18 SPL campaign against Mortherwell on August 6th.
