Glasgow Rangers comfortably strolled into the next round of the League Cup, dispatching Dunfermline 6-0 at Ibrox.
Pedro Caixinha has told Rangers’ official YouTube channel that he believes that Alfredo Morelos is a player who boasts a tremendous amount of potential, and expressed his delight for the forward after his brace in the Scottish League Cup win over Dunfermline.
There was likely to have been plenty of intrigue surrounding the young striker as he started the cup clash just days after featuring as a late substitute in the Scottish Premiership win over Motherwell.

And the 21-year-old vindicated his selection by bagging a brace as the Gers comfortably booked their place in the next round of the competition, winning 6-0, with Kenny Miller, Bruno Alves, James Tavernier and Daniel Candeias also getting on the scoresheet.
And after the victory, Caixinha suggested how pleased he was for Morelos that he has opened his account for the Light Blues following his summer switch.
“You can see the hunger and desire he’s putting on all of his actions so the strikers live by goals. I’m very pleased that he could score two goals in Ibrox and celebrate [which will] help give him a lot of confidence for the future.”

Despite Morelos being a name that few Rangers fans would have heard of before he was linked with the club during this window, there was no question that he arrived with certain level of expectation given his record with former club HJK, for whom he scored 11 goals in 12 games following his permanent switch.
And while Rangers fans may not be getting carried away with the forward’s performance, the signs are certainly there that he could prove to be a brilliant signing for the side in the future.
