Ibrox outfit Glasgow Rangers had Vladimir Weiss on loan from Manchester City in 2010-11.

Rangers manager Pedro Caixinha has told The Scottish Sun that Vladimir Weiss will not be joining the club in the summer transfer window.
Caixinha worked with Weiss at Al-Gharafa, but the Rangers manager has admitted that it is not going to be possible to sign the 27-year-old Slovakia international winger in the summer.
The former Manchester City prospect played for Rangers on loan during the 2010-11 season.
The Portuguese coach has claimed that to sign Weiss, the Glasgow Rangers would have to pay Al-Gharafa a transfer fee of £2.7 million.

“For example, in Mexico I did it, in Nacional Madeira I did it and the last one was in Qatar,” Caixinha told The Scottish Sun. “We were in danger of relegation and then finished below the four biggest clubs in Qatar.
“We changed a lot of things, so Vladimir Weiss and Kristian Nemeth came in. It depends on the level of the club, the market, the opportunities but that’s what I am working to do here in Rangers. I am used to it.
“Will Weiss be coming to Rangers? No, I don’t think we can afford to pay them £2.7 million.”
Rangers are one of the biggest clubs in the world, but they returned to top flight of Scottish football only at the end of last season.
It will take the Gers a few years to get back to the former level, and the Ibrox faithful will have to be patient.
The Glasgow giants should look at the bigger picture and must be thinking of long-term success.
