Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers appear to have signed a complete dud on loan in the form of Umar Sadiq.

History looks like it is repeating itself at Glasgow Rangers, with Steven Gerrard making exactly the same mistake as Pedro Caixinha at Ibrox.
Both Gerrard and Caixinha were keen to use the loan market when appointed as Rangers boss, but their track records have one big blot on the copybook.
Caixinha’s worst signing at Rangers was arguably that of Dalcio, who made zero impact during his time at Ibrox.
And Gerrard may well have managed to sign his own dud on loan in the form of Umar Sadiq.
Sadiq was brought to Rangers on loan from Roma in the summer, but the striker simply does not look anywhere near the standard required to make it at Ibrox.

Sadiq’s performance in Rangers’ semi-final against Aberdeen yesterday was nothing short of disastrous, with the lanky forward failing to impress.
Sadiq looks almost certain to drop back into Rangers’ reserves now, and there must already be questions over whether he will ever pull on the shirt again in a competitive match.
There is surely already no chance that Rangers will sign Sadiq permanently at the end of his loan spell, and he may actually face the embarrassment of making even less impact than Dalcio did last term.
