Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers are currently 33 points behind Celtic.

New Glasgow Rangers boss Pedro Caixinha’s comments about closing the gap on Celtic could hardly have been more different to his predecessor’s, Mark Warburton.
Warburton suggested just weeks before he was sacked that the distance between Rangers and Celtic could grow next season.
“We are not in the Champions League next year – they are. So the gap could widen again,” Warburton said to the Glasgow Evening Times. “But we have to find a way. Time and giving young players a chance to develop is one way.
“But we are just being realistic. I understand history – I get all that – but this is literally an unprecedented situation.”
Warburton’s admission did not go down well at Ibrox at the time he made it, and Caixinha has immediately brought more positivity to the Glasgow side.
In his first interview since taking charge, Caixinha promised Rangers fans that he would reduce the gap to Celtic.
He said in the Guardian: “I can promise you that the gap is going to be reduced.”
At the moment, Rangers are a whopping 33 points behind Celtic in the Scottish Premiership table, and they have been well behind their Glasgow rivals this season.
Celtic have gone unbeaten in the four Old-Firm derbies to take place so far, and have not lost a domestic game in any competition.
Rangers did manage to pick up a credible draw against Brendan Rodgers’ side in their last match, though.
Caixinha was in the stands for that contest, but he will be in Rangers’ dugout for the first time at the weekend, when they take on Hamilton.
