With speculation rising around Arsene Wenger’s future at Arsenal, are Celtic fans worried their manager could be swooped for by a Premier League club in the near future?

After doing well to secure the signature of the former Liverpool manager in the summer, the impact of Brendan Rodgers on Celtic this season has been phenomenal. After bringing in a number of signings from England, such as former Aston Villa winger Scott Sinclair and former Fulham stirker Moussa Dembele, Rodgers has led the Hoops to yet another Scottish Premiership title, currently holding a lead of 26 points at the top.

With their arch rivals Rangers now back in the top flight as well, Celtic’s demolishing of the Scottish top flight has been all the more impressive this season, and it was no surprise to see Rodgers tied down to a new deal by the Glasgow giants recently. However, with big jobs in the Premier League potentially being available in the summer, especially the prospect of an Arsenal vacancy, are Celtic fans worried that their new king may well be tempted by a move back to England?

“He’s happy here” said one Celtic fan, “Or I’m willing to believe he’s happy here. Why wouldn’t he be happy for winning the league?” Another Celtic fan added, “Well I can only take Brendan at his word, and he’s said he’s as happy here as he’s ever been in his personal life and his professional life.”

“I’d be very surprised if Brendan Rodgers moved at this moment” added another Celtic fan. “Rodgers isn’t here for money.” – a good point, but might he be tempted away by it?

“He’s going to stay here for a few years. He’s got something to prove here” added another Celtic supporter. Another also said “It’s not about money, he’s got a point to prove.” But just what does he have to prove? Rodgers took Liverpool the closest they have been in many years to a Premier League trophy, and is still widely considered one of the better top flight managers.

If there were any doubts about Rodgers, they have surely been quashed this season. So what does the future hold for the manager? And what does the future hold for Celtic?
