Despite only signing for them last summer, Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes is reportedly no longer wanted at the Camp Nou, according to a report by Spanish news outlet Don Balon.
The Portugese midfielder, who won many plaudits during his time at Spanish giants Valencia, has made 44 appearances and scored three times this season.
However, the report suggests that the midfielder is keen to move away in search of more regular football, with agent Jorge Mendes already searching for new clubs.
With this in mind, should Tottenham Hotspur consider a bid? The midfielder would offer a different option for Spurs, who currently utilise two of Victor Wanyama, Moussa Dembele and Eric Dier in the middle of the park.
Whereas those three players are more focused on the defensive side of the game, with Dembele the exception who can take the ball forward, Andre Gomes would offer a more pass-based style of play, with the Portuguese player often keen to spread the play forward and get in to support an attack.

Though Spurs are not low on talented midfield players, the kind of attributes Andre Gomes could bring to their side would undoubtedly make them a strong unit in the middle of the park, and could allow players such as Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen more license to roam and express themselves.
The Portuguese midfielder is likely to have a number of suitors this summer, after showing promising signs when he has performed for Barcelona this season, and after playing an integral part in Portgual’s European Cup winning side.
