Nottingham Forest take on Derby County on Saturday in the Championship and HITC pundits give their predictions on the likely outcome.

Dan Coombs

Nottingham Forest 1-2 Derby County

One of the most unpredictable games of the season due to both clubs changing manager this week, but Gary Rowett has more to work with. An away win will get his tenure off to a heroic start.

The battle of the new managers, will the proverbial bounce benefit Warburton or Rowett? Despite a vociferous home support, however, Rowett’s tactics could take far less time to implement than Warburton’s passing philosophy, giving Derby a slight edge.

Rangers manager Mark Warburton

Alfie Potts-Harmer

Nottingham Forest 2-1 Derby County

Both teams are winless in their last two, Nottingham Forest are now firmly embroiled in a relegation scrap and Derby County are without a manager once again. Not the ideal preparation on either side for the fierce East Midlands Derby then. Forest have done okay at home this season, better than the Rams away from home anyway, so I’m backing them to sneak a win.

The Warburton affect could be in full swing this weekend with Forest narrowly edging a match between their fierce rivals. He needs to get his side firing as soon as possible and what better place to start than here.

Che Thomas

Nottingham Forest 2-2 Derby County

Very hard to predict with both teams in poor form but with new managers in their first game. An entertaining score draw would not surprise me at all.

Nottingham Forest 1-2 Derby County

Derby are far better on paper and at long last have found themselves a manager who knows how to get the maximum out of his players. I’m expecting Rowett to get off to a winning start with the Rams, although Forest should come good under Warburton as long as a certain someone allows it.
