2. Jordan Rhodes (Sheffield Wednesday)
Having scored well over 100 Championship goals, Jordan Rhodes is arguably one of the best in the business at this level, and Sheffield Wednesday have pulled off a real coup in bringing the former Boro forward to Hillsbrough.
But will he be the man to fire the Owls to promotion?
3. Chris Wood (Leeds United)
The big New Zealander has been instrumental in Leeds United’s charge for promotion this season, and has really come to life under Garry Monk.
Scoring 19 league goals this season, Chris Wood is not showing any signs of slowing down and Leeds United will do well to keep hold of the big man this summer.
4. Tammy Abraham (Bristol City)
The Chelsea youngster has exploded on to the scene during his loan spell at Bristol City this season, and is surely set for a big future.
Scoring 18 goals for the Robins, Tammy Abraham has been a real highlight of what has been, overall, a fairly miserable season for Bristol City.
5. Dwight Gayle (Newcastle United)
The league’s leading goal-scorer, Dwight Gayle has proved his doubters wrong this season, hammering home 20 league goals for the Magpies this season.
A vital part of Rafa Benitez’s side, the former Crystal Palace striker has been in electric form, but could injury problems scupper his chance at the golden boot award?
