Manchester United haven’t brought in anyone so far, but can that all change before the window closes?
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho
With the January transfer window entering its final stages, HITC Sport has taken a look at the players that Manchester United supporters may be hoping the Red Devils hierarchy are able to land during the last days of the month. But before you get the chance to vote, here is a look at the contenders…
Adil Taoui
A recent report in Foot Mercato has seen Manchester United linked with promising Toulouse youngster Adil Taoui. United are said to be joined by rivals Manchester City, Juventus and Bayern Munich in monitoring the midfielder’s progress.
Vincent Lindelof
Sweden’s Victor Lindelof
Rumours continue to circulate over a potential move for Benfica defender Vincent Lindelof (Independent). The Swedish defender, who is also said to be being monitored by Chelsea, would be Jose Mourinho’s second centre-half signing during his time at Old Trafford, after bringing in Eric Bailly over the summer.
James Rodriguez
Looking like they might need an extra number 10, to fill in the hole behind Zlatan Ibrahimovic, it’s no surprise to see Manchester United being being linked by the Mirror with a £50 million swoop for Real Madrid’s attacking midfielder James Rodriguez. The Colombian midfielder seems to have fallen down the pecking order at Real Madrid since Zinedine Zidane took over, and may well be looking for a move abroad.
Bernardo Silva
A recent report in the Daily Mail has seen Manchester United linked with Monaco’s Portuguese attacking midfielder, Bernando Silva. Silva, who has been one of the stand out performers for Leonardo Jardim this season in Ligue 1, would also be able to fill the number 10 role, much like Rodriguez.
Antoine Griezmann
France’s Antoine Griezmann
The Daily Mail has also reported Manchester United’s interest in French attacker Antoine Griezmann. The France international, who can play in a number of roles up top, is said to be a major target for the Red Devils in the summer, but would Manchester United fans prefer to see the club move for the Atletico Madrid player in January, to strengthen their bid for the top four?
