Liverpool face Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday in the fourth round of the FA Cup, and HITC pundits give their predictions on the likely outcome.

Dan Coombs

Liverpool 3-2 Wolves

The last thing Liverpool need right now is a risk of a potential upset at home to a confident Championship team, having suffered home losses to Swansea and Southampton in the past week. Wolves will feel the Reds are ripe for the picking but expect them to avoid disaster in an entertaining game, only just.

Liverpool manager Juergen Klopp

Danny Owen

Liverpool 2-0 Wolves

The Reds were unbeaten at Anfield for over a year but successive defeats in league and cup against Southampton and Swansea means the FA Cup is Jurgen Klopp’s last tangible hope of silverware. Expect him to grasp the opportunity with both hands.

Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Paul Lambert

Alfie Potts-Harmer

Liverpool 2-1 Wolves

It would not be unfair to say Liverpool are in something of a crisis now. Their form is dreadful and it took them two legs to knockout Plymouth in the last round, however, they’ve no European football and Klopp can afford to name a strong team against Wolves in an attempt to get back on track.

Vincent Ralph

Liverpool 2-0 Wolves

Liverpool are expected to play some of their fringe players but after being held by Plymouth at home in the last round they will want to make lighter work of their Championship opponents.

Che Thomas

Liverpool 2-0 Wolves

Liverpool are on a poor run by their standards, and will be disappointed to have lost against Southampton having put out pretty much a full strength side. But it would be a huge shock if Wolves were to avoid defeat.

Aiden Cusick

Liverpool 0-1 Wolves

Wednesday’s cup defeat could provoke a response from the Reds, but given their recent struggles – let’s not forget Plymouth came away from Anfield unscathed in the previous round – I am earmarking this one as a potential upset.
