West Ham United take on Manchester United in the quarter-final of the EFL Cup tonight.
Speaking to the the club’s official website, Hammers superstar Dimitri Payet shared how he is pleased with his side’s current system, and how it is working, but he would still like to see more of the ball.
The mercurial Frenchman has not quite hit the incredible levels he reached last season, but is still West Ham’s most important player.
He has contributed with one goal and five assists in 11 Premier League outings so far this season, but his influence on Slaven Bilic’s men has been limited, with the Hammers currently languishing awards the bottom of the table in 16th place.

And Payet explained how West Ham’s switch of system has paid dividends, despite him being happier when he sees more of the ball, as quoted by whufc.com:
“The system is in place for perfectly good reasons. I’m happy right now because the decision has paid off, but yes, of course, I am more happy with the ball.”

Bill’s side head to Old Trafford again tonight to take on Man United in the quarter-final of the EFL Cup.
With their Premier League struggles, a win tonight and a place in the semi-final of the competition would be a fantastic boost for everyone at the club and could, in turn, help improve their stuttering league form.
