Aston Villa will be looking to make it seven wins on the bounce in the Championship when they travel to Rotherham on Wednesday night.

Paul Warne of Rotherham United looks on prior to the Sky Bet Championship match between Queens Park Rangers and Rotherham United at Loftus Road on March 13, 2019 in London, England.

Rotherham manager Paul Warne has claimed that Aston Villa are ‘virtually’ a Premier League side and he isn’t ‘surprised’ to see the huge improvement in Dean Smith’s team since the return of Jack Grealish.

The Millers will host in-form Villa on Wednesday night, with the relegation-threatened outfit hoping to cause an upset against a team that has won six games on the bounce.

Since Grealish’s return from injury, Villa have won all their matches having previously only won two games in nearly three months whilst he was on the sidelines.

Warne faces a big task beating a team that is full of confidence, scoring goals and has an array of talent, but he offered nothing but praise about the opposition ahead of their fixture.

“It should be a good game. We’re a good home side and we need to take the game to them, but they’re virtually a Premier League side,” Warne told Rotherham’s official website.

“He’s [Grealish] probably the best player in the league. It’s no surprise since he’s come back their form has improved. They’ve got more than that throughout the team though and their front five is pretty effective, to say the least.

“I know that we’re formidable against any team and hopefully we can give them enough problems.”

Jack Grealish of Aston Villa celebrates following the Bet Championship match between Sheffield Wednesday and Aston Villa at Hillsborough Stadium on April 06, 2019 in Sheffield, England.

In their previous encounter, Villa recorded a valuable three points at Sheffield Wednesday by scoring two late goals in stoppage-time to down their former manager Steve Bruce.

On Tuesday night, their promotion rivals were in action and Bristol City leapfrogged them in the table after beating West Brom 3-2 on home soil.

But Smith’s side can reclaim fifth spot if they pick up maximum points at the New York stadium in what wlll be a very tricky encounter on the road.
