The United legend believes Eberechi Eze’s North London derby explosion is only the beginning if he adds one key ingredient.

Arsenal’s title push received a huge boost at the weekend as Eberechi Eze produced a stunning hat-trick in the North London derby, dismantling Tottenham and pushing Mikel Arteta’s side six points clear at the top. The performance was easily his best in an Arsenal shirt — and one that has caught the attention of Premier League greats.

Among them is Paul Scholes, who believes Eze’s ceiling is far higher than many realise. The former Manchester United midfielder now claims the 27-year-old could soon be worth £100 million, provided he nails one crucial aspect of his game.

Scholes explains what Eze must do to become a £100m player

Speaking on The Good, The Bad & The Football, Scholes praised Eze’s talent but stressed that consistent goal-scoring is what will define his true value.

“It was probably the one thing missing from his game,” Scholes said. “When you’re at a club like Arsenal, you have to start winning games for them — like Lampard did for Chelsea for years. Those goals win you big points.”

Eze arrived at the derby having scored just twice for Arsenal, but his treble took him to five and showcased exactly the match-winning quality Arteta bought him for. Scholes believes that if the winger can produce those decisive moments regularly, the valuation will follow quickly:
“If he can do that more consistently, he’s a £100 million player.”

Eze’s Crystal Palace scoring peak shows he can reach another level

Before joining Arsenal, Eze delivered the best season of his career with Crystal Palace, scoring 14 goals and playing a vital role in their FA Cup triumph — including key strikes in both the semi-final and final.

Arsenal paid £68 million for him in the summer, and if his performance against Spurs is any indication of what’s coming, he may surpass last season’s tally with ease. Should he do that while helping drive Arsenal’s title challenge, Scholes’ prediction of a £100m valuation may arrive sooner rather than later.
