Wolves boss is an inspiration for Paul Robinson

Paul Robinson has told the Yorkshire Evening Post he is taking inspiration from Nuno Santo as he considers a career in management.
The ex-England international is doing his coaching badges and says he wants to give himself the option of a different career in the game.
He points out that goalkeepers have not often been successful managers, noting that Nuno Santo is one of the exceptions.
He said: “Management has always been at the back of my mind. Goalkeepers, historically speaking, don’t make great managers maybe bar one or two such as Nuno Espirito Santo at Wolves.
“You maybe find some club chairmen that are reluctant to hire goalkeepers as managers. “But it is something I’ve harboured for quite a while and, if I have my badges and something materialises further down the line, then I may explore it.”

Santo is not the only goalkeeper Wolves have hired in recent years as boss. One of his predecessors was ex-Italy international Walter Zenga.
Zenga did not last the season at Molineux, replaced by Paul Lambert and eventually Nuno Santo, who has taken Wolves from Championship mid-table to seventh place in the Premier League.
Dino Zoff, Zenga’s ex-rival, came close to leading Italy to win Euro 2000, beaten in the final by France.
Goalkeepers as successful managers are far and few between. Santo played for Porto, Deportivo and Dynamo Moscow during his playing career, retiring in 2010.
Robinson might not be the only one he ends up inspiring.
