Retired goalkeeper Paul Robinson was disappointed to read a newspaper comment piece criticising Blackburn Rovers’ shot stoppers in recent years.
The Lancashire Telegraph published a piece praising current stopper David Raya.
Raya impressed this week in the league and the cup.
His performances were highlighted, and one comment stung former stopper Robinson.
Robinson saw this, and saw it as a slight on his efforts for Rovers.
Robinson played for Blackburn between 2008 and 2015, racking up more than 200 appearances.
He was signed as Friedel’s replacement.
It’s no wonder he saw the comment piece as a direct criticism of his efforts for the club.
