England are without a permanent manager and the Arsenal boss has been suggested as a candidate.
Former England midfielder Paul Parker has told Eurosport that the Three Lions should be hoping that Arsene Wenger leaves Arsenal.
England are without a permanent manager at this moment in time after Sam Allardyce’s departure in the summer.
Gareth Southgate is currently leading the team as interim manager and looks set to be given the job on a permanent basis should he avoid an embarrassing result against Scotland.

It is fair to say him becoming the potential England boss has not captured the imagination, with many questioning if he is good enough for the role.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has been touted as one who the FA should target and Parker says they should be hoping he leaves the Emirates.
“If we are looking for someone to fill a gap for a while, we should be hoping that Arsene Wenger retires from Arsenal and ask him to come and do that job,” he told Eurosport.
“He will want to do it his way and tell the FA what he needs from them, not the other way round.”

While the job as England manager seems unlikely to be in Wenger’s future, it will be interesting to see what he does do.
He is currently in the final year of his contract at the Emirates and so far there has been little indication that a new deal is incoming.
Should they continue challenging for the title, or even win it, though, and a new contract is likely to be in the offering sooner rather than later.
